About me

I am originally from China, where I completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology.

During my graduate studies, I primarily focused on Linguistic psychology and developed a strong interest in neuropsychology. Supported by a CSC scholarship, I joined the Band Lab at Maastricht University to pursue my PhD.

My current research focuses on advancing our understanding of body-brain coupling within the field of psychology and cognitive neuroscience.

In my daily life, I enjoy fitness and exploring different cuisines, which helps me maintain my enthusiasm for life.

Research

My research explores how individual eye movements and dynamics in pupil dilation interact with other brain and body signals. I examine whether these body-brain dynamics influence information processing, perception and action in a variety of tasks, from rest to naturalistic environments.
I particularly focus on rhythms: body-brain rhythms, behavioral rhythms and rhythm processing timing capacities, using a combination of behavioral, physiological, and neuroimaging techniques.
